Living In the KnowlEdge Society Community Building Project

I'd like to start a discussion group with people interested in discussing what students (or IT professionals) in the sciences need to learn about computer science, and what computer science students (particularly those who later go on to work in IT in the sciences). I myself am now working with ecologists (students and professionals), eco-informaticians, and computer science students doing ecology-IT research, so I'd like to specialize in that. but, i understand that restricting the topic to ecology might miss some synergy with other sciences and limit discussion.
